Do-It-Yourself - Kitchen Cleaners

Today is day one of my five day series of Do-It-Yourself household cleaners. I love this stuff! It's great because most of the items you are going to be using are items that can be found around your house as it is! So, let's get started with the kitchen!

*Silver Polish*
  1. 1 tbsp salt
  2. 1 tbsp baking soda
  3. 1 cup water
Dissolve the salt and baking soda in warm water. Submerge you silverware and let sit for an hour. Rinse under running water and wipe dry with a cloth.

*Veggie Wash*
  1. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  2. 2 tbsp baking soda
  3. 1 cup water
Put mixture in a spray bottle. Rinse off your veggies after using.

*Clean and Sharpen Garbage Disposal*
  1. ice cubes
  2. lemon juice
Add them both and turn on the disposal!

*Clean Sponges*

Soak dirty sponges in water with lemon juice and vinegar. Keep moist and microwave for 1 min and 30 secs.

*Burnt Food or Fishy Smell*

Sprinkle an old pie pan with cinnamon, nutmeg and a dash of orange essential oil. Place in warm oven and let sit while the oven cools.

I have not tested everything and do not know what works best for you. I am not responsible for any damage caused by any product you use in your household. I am not saying any of this will even damage anything, I am just watching my back. Feel free to leave a comment about your experience with any of these!
